Nic Sheff's tweak depicts the gruesome and real-life nightmare of a young man struggling to battle his addiction to methamphetamine among many other drugs. Sheff does an excellent job of capturing many of the heart-breaking realizations that come along with the humble cycle of addiction. This book appeals to many audiences, whether one is struggling with substance use themselves or knows someone close to them who is. Regardless, the accurate scenes depicting the day-to-day internal battle to keep his sobriety and morals, as well as his road to recovery make for an inspiring and heartwarming book.
